This week’s activities are based on the next story in the series; ‘What the Ladybird Heard Next’. Follow this link to

hear the story told by the author Julia Donaldson!

Wanted Poster

The thieves are back again...!

Can you make a wanted poster to help the police find them before they steal another animal from another farm?

How could you describe them? What do they look like?

Can you design your own

‘Snuggly Snerd’?

Have you ever heard of a Snuggly Snerd? Draw a picture of what your Snuggly Snerd looks like?

What colour is it?

Is it spotty or maybe stripy?

Does it look like another animal?

How big or small is it?

Can you write a sentence to describe it?

Sharing Activity

Can you practise your careful counting when completing this sharing activity?

Is it fair? Does each minibeast have the same amount?

You could use raisins or cereal to help share equally.

Farm Small World

Do you have some farm toys at home? Can you set up a farm scene and retell the story?

If you don’t have your own farm toys, don’t worry, you could make your own stick puppets for each character.

Can you learn this poem all about Ladybirds?

Have you spotted any ladybirds in your garden or when you’ve been out on a walk?

Can you add actions as you recite this poem?

Take a video and share it with your teacher, we would love to see it!

Ladybird Biscuits

Can you decorate some biscuits using chocolate drops for spots? How many spots do your ladybirds have?

Can you practise finding your doubles?

Double 2...

Double 3...

Double 4...etc
