Exeter Nursery Week 4 home learning challenges
*Kim’s Game –
A simple and fun memory game! Find a tray (baking one is fine) and place 5 different items on the tray e.g. car, pencil, block, spoon, coin. Ask a grown up to cover over the tray with a tea towel and then take one item away without you seeing. When they take the tea towel back can you work out which item is missing from the tray?
Too easy – add more items!
Colour sorting and categorising
Often children enjoy lining up various objects, cars, trains and transport being a popular one. Find various forms of transport vehicles in your home, all different colours or sizes and see if you can put them in the correct line. You can sort them by colours or sizes. Encourage your children to notice and talk about the similarities and differences in the vehicles. Encourage colour and size names
Can you learn a tongue twister?!
Tongue twisters. Tongue twisters are an excellent and fun way to teach children correct pronunciation and enunciation of words. It is a fun way to train their tongue to pronounce words. Start with simple ones and work your way up.
Eg Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers
Red lorry, yellow lorry
She sold sea shells on the sea shore.
Once completed please send photo via EExAT to your keyworker- we would love to see them!
