Writing
In recent weeks one of our main focuses has been fronted adverbials, which the children have been applying to the writing. We have also been looking at using subordinating conjunctions to add detail to our writing. Here are some website mostly BBC Bitesize which have many activities for your child to do.
Children are expected to write for a number of reasons recently we have wrote fictional stories and a persuasive letter. It would be great if you could encourage your child to write their own version of our recent story ‘The Secret of Black Rock’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ani1erQaiGI

Moving on from this it would be great if the children could change this to a newspaper report where they list facts of the story in the style of a journalist. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z2yycdm/articles/z2gk9qt
Spelling punctuation and grammar
Curriculum
We would like you to design and create a model aquarium using resources that you can find around your house.
You may want to research these sea creatures so you get the shape, size and colour of them correct.
We look forward to seeing and displaying your creations when you return to school.
Science
Watch this episode of Blue Planet:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b09f8vtb/blue-planet-ii-series-1-2-the-deep
Research how the sea creatures have adapted to live in these parts of the ocean.
You can present your work in any way that you like.
