The school was most recently inspected on the 13th and 14th June 2023.
We are extremely proud that overall judgement of the inspection is that we are officially rated as a GOOD school. This is the first time in the school’s history.
The summary evaluation of the inspection is as follows:
Overall effectiveness - Good
The quality of education - Good
Behaviour and attitudes - Good
Personal Development - Good
Leadership and Management - Good
Early Years Provision - Outstanding
This report reflects the progress we have made as a school since becoming part of Inspiring Futures Through Learning (IFtL) in 2019. We are also very proud of our children. They showed their understanding of complex topics such as the protected characteristics and discrimination and they could confidently talk about their learning across the curriculum with the inspectors.
In particular, the inspectors commented on the quality of provision in the Early Years stating that they get off to an “exceptional start” to their education. They also commented upon the “ambitious curriculum” which is delivered by teachers with the “skills they need to teach this effectively”. In addition, they commented upon how teachers make effective adaptations for pupils with SEND within their lessons. They also noted the “warm relationships” between staff and pupils.
As a school, we acknowledge the area for improvement identified within the report and we have already begun to work on this as a staff team.
