Family Support

At Exeter Children's Centre we provide 1:1 support for any parent who requires additional help. Parenting can be difficult at times and our family support workers can help with stress, behaviour management, housing issues, complex needs, debt, routines and many more aspects.

To access this service parents can speak to any staff member directly or can ask a professional to refer them, such as health visitor, nursery staff, midwife or social worker.

Solihull Parenting Course - This 10 week informal parenting course is for parents and carers who want to know more about sensitive and effective parenting skills.  Come and meet likeminded people and learn about child development, behaviour and parenting styles.  Creche available by booking with centre staff.

Domestic violence - All four Corby Children's centres work together with Women's Aid to provide a range of support including accommodation, Freedom course and Stay Free course.  Together we support adults who are or have experienced violence, control or emotional harm.  We also support mums and children through a 'you and me mum!' group which brings parents and children closer together following domestic violence.
