Reception (Foundation Stage 2), Year 1 and Year 2 (Key Stage 1)
The academy day is: 8:40 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. Lunchtime is 12:00midday -1:00p.m.
School gates open at 8:40am, as do the classroom doors so children can come in to the classroom and be seated by 8:50am, when lessons start. The gates close at 8:50am
Year 1 and 2 children have a 15 minute playtime in the morning.
At the end of the day, we ask that your child is collected by a responsible adult, who is on our school contact list. Please let the class teacher know if it will be a different adult than usual who is going to pick up your child. Children will be collected from their classroom doors.
Years 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 (Key Stage 2)
The academy day is: 8:40 a.m. – 3:20 p.m.
Lunchtime is 12:00-1:00pm (Year 3) 12:30-1:30pm (Years 4-6)
Children have a 15 minute break in the morning.
School gates open at 8:40am, as do the classroom doors so children can come in to the classroom and be seated for 8:50am, when lessons start and the gate is closed.
Drop off and collection points:
Mrs Norris, Miss Vorster and Miss Hamilton: (Year 6) – to use the back-playground doors (nearest Burghley Park)
Miss Dighton and Mrs Mathew: (Year 5) – to use classroom doors off the main playground
Mrs Gotch and Miss Broughton (Year 4) – main playground to enter school through the quad
Mr Efford (Year 3) - to use the back-playground doors (nearest Burghley Park)
Mrs Richardson (Year 3) – main playground to enter through the quad
Please use these entrances and exits at the morning and for collection.
Children in Years 5 and 6 can walk home, once permission is given via the 'My child at school' App.
Typical week in school: FS2 and KS1 = 32 hours 50 minutes, KS2 33 hours and 20 minutes.
PE Days
Please ensure you child comes to school in their PE kit on these days - PE kit consists of plain black / navy blue short or jogging bottoms, Red logo PE T-shirt (or plain red), and school blue jumper. No hoodies and branded items please.
