At Exeter – A Learning Community, we are dedicated to developing a deep understanding and embedded curiosity about the natural and human aspects of the world our children live in.  We believe that a high quality geography curriculum should enable them to develop secure knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments.  It is important that our children develop an enquiring attitude to the world around them, as well as an understanding of their place in it, and we aim to facilitate this through our teaching.

To achieve this, we engage in imaginative Learning Projects  throughout the school, which ensure we provide a breadth of experiences that build on prior knowledge, to develop deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes.

Geography is, by nature, an investigative subject and, through interesting practical experiences, we aim to provide stimulating opportunities for children to raise their own questions.  We are committed to fostering a love and fascination for learning about their world that will stay with them throughout their lives.
